Biography of Michael Steinberg, Attorney at Law

Michael has practiced law in the Tampa Bay area for 25 years primarily handling veterans compensation and pension benefits, Social Security disability, state retirement and ERISA claims.

In 2006, Mr. Steinberg ran for U.S. Representative for the 11th Congressional District of Florida. Although he did not win, Michael will continue his fight as an advocate in Washington and in his local community. His concern for better health care, our American veterans, and Social Security claimants is as strong now as it was in 2006.

Personal

Michael Steinberg was born February 6, 1959, in Tampa, Florida. He has been married to Miriam Steinberg for 21 years and has 3 children, Jacklyn, Sarah, and Ester. His wife is a chemical engineer.

Michael's father is a retired Circuit Court Judge, having served Hillsborough County for over 23 years and continues to serve as a Senior Judge. His mother works as a Circuit Court mediator for Hillsborough County.

Mr. Steinberg has worked for the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office, the State of Florida as a Civil Infractions Traffic Hearing Officer, and has engaged in the private practice of law since August, 1982. Michael is also an author and a speaker at national Social Security law conferences.
